Patient and Family Grief Support
At Hospice of Davidson County, our Grief Counseling Department recognizes that every grief journey is unique. We are committed to supporting individuals and families throughout our community by offering compassionate care during serious illness and continuing bereavement support for up to 13 months following the passing of a loved one.
Our team of experienced, professional counselors walks alongside individuals and families throughout the grieving process. Providing guidance, understanding and support as the navigate loss and begin moving forward – at their own pace and in their own way.

Hospice of Davidson County offers a comprehensive range of bereavement services designed to provide comfort, connection, and healing, including:
- Individualized grief counseling (available in the home, virtually, or on campus)
- Text-based grief support services with a personalized dashboard
- Grief-support mailings offering encouragement throughout the year
- Monthly support groups (offered virtually or on campus)
- Creative Counseling Programs (art based support group)
- Specialized grief counseling for all Davidson County community members, regardless of prior hospice service
