Hospice of DC presents
Living With Grief: Spirituality & End-of-Life
Monday, April 18
Addressing spiritual concerns at the end of life can be as vital as medication and comfort for the patient’s wellbeing. HODC recognizes this firsthand and,
on April 18th, will host a Living with Grief: Spirituality and End-of-Life Care symposium. The symposium will include a two-hour video presentation released by the Hospice Foundation of America which includes a discussion among several nationally recognized, end-of-life care experts. Following the presentation, a local group of panelists will engage in a facilitated discussion. Guest panelists include: Rev. Dr. Lee Dukes III, Rev. Charlie Patrick, Rev. Dr. T. Marquis Ramsey I and Rev. Dr. April Rhinehardt.

This program will provide a lively forum for evaluating and discussing the differences between spirituality and religion, spiritual issues and coping that may emerge throughout end-of-life, the use of spiritual assessment, meaning-making, reminiscing, life-review, and the impact of spiritual practices, rituals and beliefs.

Thomasville Medical Center is the sponsor for the event which is offered to the public at no charge. The program will be hosted from The Conference & Technology Center at Davidson County Community College from 1:30 – 5:00 pm with check-in at 1pm. Continuing education credits are available for a small fee. For additional information or to register, please call 336-474-2092.
